Queering the Southern States examines the daily lives of those who live as openly queer in the American Deep South and the role their surroundings play in their experiences. By photographing members of the LGBT community in their personal spaces—bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms—I explore the intimacy of place in the Bible Belt.
